Creating Healthy Boundaries(Weekly Recovery Reflection)
Gratitude has a way of shifting our perspective.
Quote
“Daring to set boundaries is about having the courage to love ourselves, even when we risk disappointing others.”
– Brené Brown
My Thoughts
Boundaries are an essential part of recovery and self-care. They aren’t about shutting people out; they’re about protecting what matters most—our peace, growth, and well-being. Healthy boundaries teach others how to treat us and remind us to respect our own limits. While setting boundaries can feel uncomfortable at first, they create space for healthier, more authentic relationships. Saying “no” doesn’t mean rejection; it means saying “yes” to ourselves.
Action for the Week
Identify one area of your life where a boundary is needed. Practice setting it lovingly but firmly, and observe how it affects your sense of peace and clarity.
