My Thoughts

While I was drinking, I could fantasize about the fame and glory that would come my way one day - I practiced my Oscar speech long before I'd ever written a script or appeared in front of a camera. What I've come to be grateful for in sobriety, however, are those quiet moments of peace and serenity that have come after meeting with another alcoholic, in those opportunities to share my experience strength and hope with the man who's still suffering.
