Letting Go with Grace (Weekly Recovery Reflection)
The season shifts, and so can we.
Quote
“In the process of letting go, you will lose many things from the past, but you will find yourself.” — Deepak Chopra
My Thoughts
As summer slips away, the air reminds us that life is always in motion. Just like the leaves that turn and fall, we are asked to release what no longer serves us. In recovery, this release might look like old resentments, rigid expectations, or the story that we have to be the same person we were yesterday. There is a tender grief in letting go, but also a gift — space for something new to grow.
When we allow change to flow without resistance, we stop fighting the natural rhythm of life. Recovery is not about holding on tighter, but about loosening our grip enough to breathe again. The more gently we release, the more gracefully we live.
Action for the Week
Take time each day to notice one small thing you can release — a worry, a judgment, a self-criticism. Write it down, breathe deeply, and imagine it falling from you like a leaf drifting to the ground. As you practice this, ask yourself: What might be waiting to grow in the space I’m clearing?
