I’ve been taking Methadone for over 10 years and it saved my life. I have stage 3 congestive heart failure with an ejection fraction of 18. I had a heart attack due to opiate withdrawal symptoms. While it may not be for everyone. It definitely saved my life and my doctors agree that I should never stop taking it. Not only did it stop my withdrawal symptoms but it also played a key role it not using any other drugs or alcohol.
