Right Here, Right Now — Celebrate Who You're Becoming

Why we need to stop chasing “someday,” start celebrating who we are right now, and honor the rebirth that recovery gives us.

There’s something I wish I had done more of early in my recovery.

I wish I had taken a day—maybe a Sunday or a random Saturday—and just said,
“You know what? I’m going to celebrate where I am.”

Not where I should be.
Not where I hope to get to.
Just… right here. Right now.

Instead, like a lot of us, I spent too much time telling myself that where I was didn’t count. That I couldn’t feel peace until I hit this milestone, or fixed that thing, or became some ideal version of myself. And the problem with that kind of thinking is: the goalpost keeps moving.

You heal a little, then think, “I should be further along.”
You fix one part of your life, then find another problem to chase down.
Before you know it, you’ve rebuilt your life—but you never stopped to actually live it.

This is something I’ve seen over and over again in our community.
And it’s why I recorded this video.

Because no matter where you are on the journey—30 days, 3 years, or a lifetime—you deserve to recognize how far you’ve come.

You were one version of yourself.
Now you’re becoming someone new.

That transition… that rebirth…
It’s worth celebrating.
